Fort Rupert Elementary School

Present Context

Fort Rupert Elementary School is located between Fort Rupert Village and a small community near Storey’s Beach. It is a picturesque site with beautiful views of the ocean. Our school has been open since 1964. We have three multi-grade classes from Kindergarten to Grade 7 which strengthens our support for our students. We pride ourselves on our caring, community atmosphere in the school.  The PAC at this school is very active and involved. They work hard to make sure that all students are equipped with the essential tools for learning; PAC runs a Breakfast Club, assists in funding for transportation to and from swimming and other events, and organizes book fairs and social evenings for the school community.

The Fort Rupert Band Council is also very active in our school. We have excellent communication with the Band through our Home-School Co-ordinator. Emergency lunches and payment for swimming lessons and school portraits for First Nations students are provided by the band.

Volunteers are welcome to help in our school, for sports events and on field trips. Contact the school office for a form that enables us to check criminal records free of charge.
